The Watts Clever STC-4004 has introduced some differences to the original STC-4002 model, In particular the XML like file output has changed and the frequency in which is delivered from the STC-4004 is signifcantly different. In my personal view these changes have not added any significant value to the product and in some cases are a real pain. In my view the earlier STC-4002 is my favourite device and has been more reliable when running both monitors side by side. [More]

We just identified yet another appliance that has a high standby energy cost: We have a Panasonic Convection\Microwave which is a few years old, but is prime condition, however while is is sitting in standby to keep the clock running it’s using 58 watts! [More]

The Current Cost ENVI Wireless Energy Monitor as design to have add-on “Individual Appliance Monitors” with a concept of monitoring various appliances around the home, however these IAMS have never materialised.

However, after another session of hacking into mechanics of the ENVI today, I has pleasantly surprised to discover that you can pair 1 to 9 standard Current Cost transmitters, you know the one that comes with the ENVI. [More]
